智慧型手機門檻再降！遠傳電信再次與小米手機合作，獨家推出「紅米手機」，單機價格僅3990元，雖然市場歸類為入門款，但4核心與4.7吋螢幕，是目前同類型手機當中價格最低的一支。

遠傳電信行動裝置管理處副總趙憶南表示，年中開賣的「小米機」7月起續5個月蟬聯遠傳銷售排行榜前3名，小米產品一貫具有「超高性價比」，這次順勢推出「紅米機」，今日下午開始限量預購，再次降低消費者購買智慧型手機的門檻。

「紅米機」的規格除了4核心與4.7吋螢幕之外，相機為800萬畫素，並搭載前鏡頭供使用者自拍、視訊連線。以同樣為大陸品牌的「長江MTK ES-920」的規格來看，同樣搭載四核心、配有5吋螢幕，卻要價8800元；大品牌HTC、Samsung的入門機Desire 200、 S6810 Galaxy Fame，都僅搭載單核心、3.5吋螢幕，售價分別為4990與5990元。遠傳表示，「紅米機」的規格直逼中階款手機，價格又低於入門手機，具有足夠的市場競爭力。
