巨無霸草莓 春節正香甜

草莓品種推陳出新，農委會桃園農改場歷經十一年，育成巨無霸草莓「桃園四號─紅冠」，是一般草莓的兩倍大。目前在新竹、台北三處草莓園試種成功，春節期間已可以採摘嘗鮮。

國內草莓栽培面積約五百五十公頃，年產量超過五千四百公噸，主要產地在苗栗縣、新竹縣及台北市。春節期間正值果實碩大的第二期果實成熟，民眾可直接到觀光草莓園採摘。

桃園區農改場新埔工作站助理研究員羅國偉說，「紅冠」春節期間已可在關西鎮的金勇ＤＩＹ蕃茄及草莓園、泰新草莓園，以及台北市內湖的草莓園摘採品嘗。
